Adriana Ferreyr

When one becomes a multi-billionaire, there are a few questions he or she has to ask him or herself. The first is, will I still eat my food with my own two hands or will I have someone cut it and feed it to me? Will I put my pants on myself each morning, or would it be nice to be have someone dress me, French aristocracy-style? Will I walk around like I did before becoming a man or woman of immense wealth, or will I be carried, leaving my legs to be simply ornamental? The most important question, though, is this: in the hypothetical event that I sleep with a woman on and off for five years, promise her a “dream apartment” and subsequently inform her, moments after accidentally sleeping with her one last time, that I gave it to another woman, setting off a chain of events in which names are called, lamps are thrown, and all out wars are waged, will I at some point relent and give her what she wants or will I never, and I mean ever, back down, not even after she beats the shit out of me and my staff during a deposition more than two years after this debacle began? For George Soros, the answer to that question was apparently, “BRING IT, BITCH.” Read more »

George Soros will be the first to be quizzed by lawyers in his battle with former mistress Adriana Ferreyr, a judge ruled yesterday. The billionaire will be deposed by the end of July. Also to be quizzed is Soros’ new fiancée, Tamiko Bolton, on Sept. 27 — which could interfere with their planned fall wedding. While Soros didn’t attend the Manhattan hearing, Ferreyr sat with her attorney William Beslow and stared down Soros’ counsel Gary Stein. Ferreyr is suing Soros for $50 million, claiming he promised her a $1.9 million apartment but gave it to Bolton. [NYP, earlier]

If you were to have told me in August 2011 that a story about George Soros’s love life involving women 60 years his junior, “on again, off again non-exclusive relationships,” dream apartments, broken promises, and broken lamps would still be unfolding 19 months later and getting better at each turn I would have told you to check yourself. And yet it has! With an amazing update that involves George Soros allegedly being assaulted with the light fixture he allegedly assaulted his non-exclusive girlfriend with and an official reminder that George Soros has had sex with more women by 9AM than most people have in their entire lives. But first, a recap:

2005-2010: George Soros has a relationship of debatable seriousness depending on who you ask with a woman named Adriana Ferreyr. (According to Ferreyr, it was a “serious and meaningful relationship,” while according to Soros, things were “on-again, off-again and non-exclusive.”) Ferrreyr is promised her “dream apartment” on East 85th Street.

Summer 2010: Several days after the contract on the apartment is signed, Soros “heartlessly dumps” Ferreyr, which means no dream apartment for her.

Approximately a week later: The duo “briefly reconcile for a romantic night together.”

A few hours later: Soros “whispers in Ferreyr’s ear” that another woman, Tamikoa Bolton, is living in her apartment. Ferreyr expresses strong displeasure at this revelation. Soros supposedly slaps Ferreyr across the face and attempts “to strike her with a glass lamp, narrowly missing.”

August 2011: Ferreyr publicly demands $50 million for broken promises re: dream apartments, makes allegations re: lamps.

Later in August 2011: Soros strongly denies accusations, refuses to pay Ferreyr a dime.

February 2012: Soros offers to settle for $250,000, Ferreyr refuses, a court date is set for the spring.

April 30, 2012: SOROS SHOWS UP TO COURT WITH BOLTON IN TOW, AS THOUGH HE BEGGING TO BE WOKEN UP BY FERREYR STRADDLING HIM WHILE POINTING A .38 IN HIS FACE.

July 2012: SOROS UP AND PROPOSES TO BOLTON…

August 11, 2012: …BUT CONVENIENTLY WAITS UNTIL THE ANNIVERSARY OF FERREYR GOING PUBLIC WITH HER DEMANDS TO MAKE THE ANNOUNCEMENT. [I CAN'T EVEN WATCH BUT I ALSO CAN'T LOOK AWAY.]

August 13, 2012: Ferreyr, through her lawyer, wishes the happy couple all the best, maintains she’s getting that apartment.

And if you thought the last 7 months of affianced bliss had changed Soros, that the days spent wedding planning and nights spent dreaming of watching his third bride walk down the aisle had softened his stance re: Ferreyr, that he’d decided to just give her the apartment and maybe a couple mill out of pity or just to be done with the whole thing, you thought wrong! He’s fighting this thing to the death and if it means dragging it out well past his nuptials, so be it. Read more »

George Soros offered to pay his Brazilian bombshell ex-lover Adriana Ferreyr $1 million to settle her grievances after she accused him of backing out of a promise to buy her an Upper East Side apartment. But furious Ferreyr turned down the lump sum, insisting she is determined to sue billionaire Soros for up to $50 million after he promised to buy her a dream, $1.9 million East 85th Street pad, then instead gave it to his new girlfriend, Tamiko Bolton, who — according to Ferreyr — he’d claimed was his nurse…Sources said Ferreyr’s latest compromise offer is $35 million plus the apartment, which is currently still occupied by Bolton. [NYP]

Remember Adriana Ferreyr? To recap, she’s a woman with whom George Soros either conducted “a serious meaningful relationship” that lasted five years or had an “on-again, off-again and non-exclusive intimate relationship,” depending on who you ask. Last August, Ferreyr sued the billionaire for $50 million based on the promise he allegedly made to buy her a “dream home” at 30 East 85th Street, before “heartlessly” dumping her a few days after the contract was signed. Ferreyr was pretty pissed about the situation but, as these things go, the duo “briefly reconciled for a romantic night together” during which Jorge supposedly had the Soroses to “whisper in her ear” that he’d given the keys to her dream house to another one of his gal-pals. Adriana also claimed that after she aired her displeasure with Soros’ decision to give away her apartment, he slapped her across the face and ”proceeded to put his hands around her neck in an attempt to choke her…then allegedly tempted to strike her with a glass lamp narrowly missing though cutting her foot.” From the beginning, Soros’s lawyers have denied almost all of Ferreyr’s account, from the characterization of their relationship to the bit about him assaulting her with his hands and furniture. They did admit that there was a promise of an apartment but 1) the couple broke up so no deal and 2) the way they see it, Ferreyr’s “baseless” lawsuit  is simply the manifestation of her “disappointment that Soros moved onto other women.”

Now, one would think Soros would want all of this to go away, as, true or not, most individuals prefer not to be publicly accused of pelting people with lamps, etc. And yet today we were given a hint that GS is actually enjoying all this and, on the contrary, doesn’t want it to go away quietly but rather get real bad, real fast, as evidenced by his attorneys’ latest statement. Back in August, a woman who George Soros had either conducted “a serious meaningful relationship” that lasted five years or had had an “on-again, off-again and non-exclusive intimate relationship,” depending on who you ask, sued the billionaire. Adriana Ferreyr was upset about a whole bunch of stuff, including that fact that he apparently used to make her sit at the kids’ table. The basis of her lawsuit, however, focused on the promise Soros allegedly made to buy her a “dream home” at 30 East 85th Street before “heartlessly” dumping her a few days after the contract was signed. Ferreyr was pretty pissed about the situation but, as these things go, the duo “briefly reconciled for a romantic night together” during which Jorge supposedly had the Soroses to “whisper in her ear” that he’d given the keys to her dream house to another one of his gal-pals.  Adriana also claimed that after she aired her displeasure with Soros’ decision to give away her apartment, he slapped her across the face and ”proceeded to put his hands around her neck in an attempt to choke her…then allegedly tempted to strike her with a glass lamp narrowly missing though cutting her foot.” According to Soros’s lawyer, this is all fiction dreamed up by someone looking for a free ride.
