Step Into Lynn Tilton’s Office

In a recent profile with the Journal, wherein Patriarch Partners founder and CEO Lynn Tilton clarifies that she “only strips and flips men,” not companies, we’re given a rare glimpse into the private equity chief’s office, described as such:

The walls are filled with whips and handcuffs sent to her by friends, Hashemite daggers given to her by Middle Eastern royals, New Age paintings and a portrait of her stretched across the hood of a black Mercedes. Her office uniform usually includes five-inch stilettos, an eight-carat diamond necklace and the occasional black leather jumpsuit. Ms. Tilton makes no apologies for her unconventional look.

In a seemingly positive article this morning about Wall Street having and spending shitloads of money again, a troubling firing story is relayed:

A Morgan Stanley trader recently tried to hire a dwarf for a bachelor party in Miami, asking the dwarf to meet him at the airport in a “Men in Black” style suit, according to e-mail exchanges. The trader, who wanted to handcuff the dwarf to the bachelor, was recently fired.

So, the London police recently decided they’ve had it with brothels and have started to crack down on the pay-to-lay establishments. Perhaps you heard about their last raid– codename “Operation Monaco”– through the grapevine or because it was your colleague laying there with a ball gag in his mouth while a terrifying woman with a thick Eastern European accent shouted “Administer the testicle clamps!”?
