As is widely known, Wesley Snipes was found guilty of tax evasion a little while back, a charge which the actor believes to be bull shit. Because he would prefer not to go to prison for three years, Wes is attempting to appeal the verdict. Separately, Snipes was once a client of accused Ponzi schemer Kenneth Starr, who it came out several months ago had screwed a bunch of investors out of a bunch of money. These are two seemingly unrelated matters. And yet, today there is this:

As previously mentioned, back in December there was a “situation” at Reuters wherein the newswire chose not to run Matthew Goldstein’s story on Patricia Cohen suing her ex-husband, Steve Cohen, and alleging things like Stevie insider trading. It was unclear why the article was held, and it still is, even after editor-in-chief David Schlesinger held a conference call with staffers to discuss the issue. Schlesinger said it was “not a bad story” and “could have run” but still failed to say why it, you know, didn’t. If SAC did in fact complain about the story, well, that’s probably to expected. Most people or organizations would at least try. What we want is the unanswered question as to why Reuters kowtowed to the request. Was it that:

lennydykstratwizzlermouth.jpgNot sure how we missed this but apparently the company charged with maintaining the upkeep of Nails’ Thousand Oaks manse is none too pleased with the condition in which the place was left.

“The house was left by Mr. Dykstra in an unshowable state, with raw sewage escaping from the main drain line left undone,” Brian Dubois of American Holdings & Land said in court papers. “The home was littered throughout with empty beer bottles, trash, dog feces and urine and other unmentionables,” said Dubois.
