Crackberry: You Really Might Be Addicted

We were eating lunch at San Pietro the other day when we noticed at least a half our table was glancing down at their Blackberries. This really is getting out of control, we thought. Today scientists are claiming that the devices really are addicting some users, and that addicts may need treatment to recover.

The study, carried out by New Jersey's Rutgers University School, claims the Blackberry is fuelling a rise in email and internet addiction, with sufferers able to survive only a few minutes without checking for new mail.
One key sign of a user being addicted is if they focus on their Blackberry ignoring those around them.
