Portfolio Hires Some People

Publish date:

Two new staffers have been brought on board at Conde Nast's planned business magazine, Portfolio.* Robert Priest will be the design director while Chris Jones will be the web editor.
The word is the Conde Nast wants the new mag to have a major web presence. Jones comes from Yahoo so he presumably knows what he's doing. Right now the Portfolio website is designed like many Conde Nast--search engine proof graphical text layouts, lots of pictures and pitches for subscribes. Looks like Jones will have a lot of work to do.
Sometime before it launches in 2007 Portfolio will presumably get around to hiring writers and editors. Presumably.
*Hey! We just noticed that when we put the 'f' in italics it looks a little bit like that silly Dutch currency symbol the magazine uses instead of an 'f.'
