Schadenfreude Has No Direct English Equivalent
Just when you thought all the news about the big banks was bad, turns out there is a glimmer of hope (sort of like a $10 offer on those shares one worth three figures a piece).
First, for those of you about to be introduced to the tender mercies of the financial job market, you will be pleased to know that your bosses have less to worry about from the IRS. The Associated Press reports that audits of corporations with assets over $250 million (sorry Lehman) hit record lows in 2007.
But perhaps you need better Schadenfreude than that? In that case, revel in the fact that none of your young, newly-minted lawyer friends are getting their internships. Does that cheer you up at all?
