Because this is charity, we're not going to make fun. But we will suggest to any Credit Suisse employees who find themselves wishing this wasn't just a one day/year thing to drop a resume at Citi, where Vikram Pandit recently scored something of a coup by getting HR to include grass skirts in its list of acceptable business attire, which is something he's been working on since joining the bank.

Subject: Summer Hawaiian Shirt and Jeans Day Charity Fundraiser in Aid of The Place2Be on Friday, June 26
We are pleased to invite you to participate in a Hawaiian Shirt and Jeans Day on Friday, June 26, 2009 in aid of The Place2Be, our Charity of the Year 2009.
Employees participating in the Charity Hawaiian Shirt and Jeans Day will be asked to contribute to the appeal by making a suggested donation of £5.00 to volunteers who will be walking the floors with collection buckets. We will also be combining this with a 'Pennies from Pedestals' fundraiser, so please donate any loose change from your pedestal.
While we encourage all employees to engage in the spirit of this fundraiser, we would remind you of the importance of maintaining appropriate dress. Any employees meeting with external clients, suppliers or visiting the 7th or 16th floor meeting rooms, should not participate, but would be welcome to make a donation.
All monies raised will be donated to The Place2Be who provide one to one and group counselling sessions for children and offer additional support to parents, carers and school staff. Please select the attached link for more information on The Place2Be.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
