Visteon Raises The Bar In Bankuptcy Bonuses

It takes a Herculean effort to produce an unjustified payout bonanza that leads GM, Chrysler, the UAW, and now Ford to call you out, but auto supplier Visteon has managed to do it. After successfully navigating the company into bankruptcy, the top 100 employees are looking for bonuses ranging from 90% to 375% of their salaries for their masterful performance. Ford echoed the outrage coming from its brethren by labeling the $80 million bonus plan as "too rich" for the current market. While this might be aggressive by auto industry standards, it will pale in comparison to the forthcoming CIT retention bonus packages sure to gain the attention of certain water volleyball legends.
