Earlier this afternoon we were thinking it'd been a while since we'd gotten an update on what's been a' poppin' with Dick Fuld. Was he still plotting his comeback? Had he gotten over not being invited to Erin Callan's wedding? Questions needed to be answered. Luckily, Charlie Gasparino recently spent some time tailing Richard and THANK GOD HE DID. 'Cause Dick is in trouble and you people are uniquely positioned to help. Just pray it's not too late.

Sayeth CG:

Legend Securities is a very small brokerage firm that Dick Fuld joined that firm in May 2010. He left and it went right under the radar screen in September of last year. The question is why? The firm came under tremendous regulatory scrutiny. They kept peppering the CEO of the company, asking what is Dick Fuld doing for your firm? They couldn’t really answer that, and he had to go. If you are on Wall Street, you have to be domiciled at a firm. If you don’t do business there, the regulators will say, why is his guy parking his license at your firm? And that’s what happened here. Basically he had to leave. It was a voluntary resignation, but there is no doubt Dick Fuld, because he couldn’t gin up business, had to leave. He could not get registered at the state level. He has no Wall Street employment. He is out of the securities business.

Out of the securities business for now, that is. But as you all know, FINRA allows Fuld two years to find another place to find a home for his license before they take it away and all he needs is for one person to say you know what? I'm gonna take a chance on this guy. The alternative is drilling him on flashcards as he studies to take the exams again. Your call.

Dick Fuld Plotting His Comeback?

Just as CNBC gets ready to premier The Last Days of Lehman Brothers, we learn from Roddy Boyd that the still-delusional Dick Fuld appears, at least on the surface, to be plotting a comeback. The disgraced Gorilla has, since May 6, has kept his Finra license at a tiny brokerage firm called Legend Securities. Never heard of Legend? Neither has most of Wall Street.
