The Nov. 4 closing date is predicated on some remaining approvals from national European regulators and financial authorities, and could still be extended, ICE and NYSE officials said in a news release earlier Thursday. Last week, ICE secured support from the regulators overseeing Euronext, NYSE’s group of European securities exchanges.
“We’re told the approvals are forthcoming,” Mr. Niederauer said Thursday.
