The Citadel multi-tasking chief isn't just waging war against his soon-to-be ex-wife. He’s also adding to his (and his clients’) fortune, one month at a time.

The Chicago-based firm rose 4.4 percent last month in its main Kensington and Wellington funds, bringing 2014 returns to 15 percent…. Citadel’s Global Equities fund climbed 3.4 percent in September and 17 percent this year. Its Global Fixed Income fund increased 5.2 percent last month and 8 percent in 2014.
