Judge Who Went For A Li'l Join Ride In Accused Insider Trader's Seized Porsche Not Off The Hook Just Yet
A Brazilian appeals court said Monday it opened a criminal investigation into the conduct of the federal judge who had been presiding over the trial of Brazilian businessman Eike Batista . In a statement, the court in Rio de Janeiro said the criminal investigation is based on evidence found during an administrative probe of the judge’s conduct. The court is expected to provide more details on the investigation later Monday. Judge Flávio Roberto de Souza was removed from all his cases last week after he allegedly drove a Porsche Cayenne that was among the assets he had ordered seized from Mr. Batista. [WSJ]
