Some people just can't surrender to the inevitable.
As Donald Jefferson Trump marches onward towards the Oval Office, there are a handful of haters out there trying to trip him up.
Take for instance, former Massachusetts governor, GOP presidential candidate and Bain Capital founder, Mitt Romney. Mitt said this today about President Trump:
Phoning into Fox News, Romney, the 2012 GOP nominee, accused the billionaire real estate showman of “dodging and weaving” on this issue before suggesting that Trump’s taxes may reveal a “bombshell.”
“We’re gonna select our nominee. We really ought to see from all three of these fellas what their taxes look like to see if there’s an issue there,” Romney said. “I think in Donald Trump’s case, it’s likely to be a bombshell.”
Now, we're not CPAs like old Mittens, but we do know that it takes some big brass balls to talk about GOP candidates not releasing tax returns when your name is Willard Mitt Romney.
That said, no one knows more about super-rich guys trying to hide their tax info while front-running a modern GOP primary. Makes you wonder what's in there that could be more of a bombshell than the openly xenophobic, pro-torture, generally reactionary batsh!t tone of the Trump campaign so far.
