We have run out of ways to say that hedge funds are enjoying 2016 as little or less than Paul Ryan. Luckily, we don’t have to today, because we bring good news:

Hedge funds gain 0.42% in May with 48% of managers in the red year-to-date.

For the non-quants out there, that means, thanks to a spectacularly tepid May, more hedge funds are not losing money this year than are! Barely, but it counts, just as in this foul year of our Lord two thousand and sixteen, this counts as good news for hedge funds.
