You all are aware that the market’s open this week, right? It’s not, like, a half-week or anything. ‘Cause since we launched this little contest yesterday, the Dow’s been treading water a few dozen points below 20K, which means: No contest. So stop listening to those naysayers—you know, your bosses—and start buying. Because we need this. We need this now. We don’t know what the future holds. And if we can’t get this done before Christmas, who knows? We might not see Dow 20,000 in our lifetimes.

Same deal as yesterday: Once we hit 20,000 intraday, contest is on. Price is Right rules:Closest to the post-20K close without going over wins. Entries in by 3:45 p.m. Eastern. Winner gets a rare and fashionable DB banker bag.

Don’t make us do this again tomorrow.

Call the Close. . . Bull Market Edition

Since we did two of these when the markets were in a tailspin last week, we though it only fair to ask you to guess the close when all early indications point to a big triple digit gain. We’ll see if those fat fingers and high-frequency trading systems have the same impact on the way up. Dow futures were up as much as 400 early this morning. . .we’ll give a shout out to the winner at the end of the day. Ready, Go!
